Back to School: When Fun Calls

By: Ted Menadier

Happy Hour

To wrap up our back to school series we have decided to have a little fun, because it is the duty of all students when not cramming, procrastinating, or attending class to be kicking back and enjoying life. In fact that could go for us all. We all should be relaxing having fun and enjoying life when we are not hard at work.

There are countless fun toys and gadgets out there. Here are a few that we have discovered recently. On the inexpensive side the Rhino Mega SkyO has successfully reinvented the Frisbee all over again. It is easy to throw, easy to catch and practically unbreakable

In more of a mid-range price point we found an affordable unmanned aerial vehicle UAV. With a 55 inch wingspan and a 1,000 foot range the Estes Remote-Control Digital Camera Plane can take up to 26 aerial images all for the low price of $148.99. This may not be the ultimate UAV but it could be fun until till you crash it.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to leap buildings in a single bound? Well here is your best chance of succeeding short of a jetpack. The Fly Jumper 2.0 looks incredibly fun and only slightly hazardous for around $380. Fly Jumpers allow you to jump up to six feet and take nine-foot steps. Check out this video of the Fly Jumpers in action.

When we have time to play there is nothing like cool toys to enhance the experience. Listed below are several links to sources of even more fun toys:

Rhino Toys

Stupid Toys

Toys for the office

For Big Kids with deep pockets:

Hovercraft

Jet Powered Surfboard

Off Road Go Carts
