Happy Hour: OSHA Who?
By: Chris Brubaker
Here at HouseFront we are always looking to innovate the office environment and today we are continuing our series of pointless stuff that you absolutely need. First, we removed all cubicles creating an open environment; this distracted many of our employees so we turned to the Office Collar for the perfect solution…seriously. It’s been a couple of months now and I think we are all finally getting use to wearing these giant plastic funnels on our heads (turning corners is a lot harder than you’d think). Our next target of innovation is the keyboard.
Since HouseFront is a mobile centric company, many of our employees are big cell phone users. We took that into account when we found the perfect solution to making typing easier for everyone. The cre8txt keyboard, this simple little device plugs into a USB port and mimics a cell phones key pad. The keyboard even has software to translate texting lingo (see
Talking Text) into proper English, along with predictive word selection just like a cell phone. This product and our company are a perfect match; it couldn’t have worked out better. The company selling the keyboard, cre8txt is based out of the UK and is selling the devices for approximately $100. Shipping was a little pricey getting it across the pond but it’s the price you pay for the most innovative product ever.
