HouseFront and the iPhone, officially a couple

By: Chris Brubaker

Real Estate iPhone Widget

It’s been about a month now since we released the very first real estate widget for the iPhone (see HouseFront and Apple sitting in a tree…) and we’ve had a great response. The widget thus far has made its way around the web getting posted on all the major iPhone widget pages, but the big news for us today is Apple.com’s “official” iPhone web widget directory finally picked us up.

To see the widget in action navigate your iPhones Safari browser to http://iphone.housefront.com (you can also do it on your computer but……it wont look nearly as cool)

Check out the HouseFront iPhone widget on Apple’s iPhone widget directory.

As a side note, we are currently working on a redesign of our widget and plan to have it out in the next few weeks, so keep an eye on the widget and we’ll let you know when we’ve got some updates.

If you’ve got any comments or ideas for our iPhone widget give us a shout and let us know.

Yes, that’s right, a text message.
While we understand the adoption rate of technology is lower for those a little older, it’s surprising that the [...]

SMS (text messaging) is slowing growing up in the US; many companies are now realizing the power of text messaging. Last Thursday we wrote a post on San Francisco’s earthquake alert system (Read it here). A reader informed us about the national SMS emergency alert system (thanks Sean). The system is designed to work in conjunction with the EAS (Emergency Alert System), the same system that you hear or [...]

The system employs a few different ways to communicate, blackberry/email accounts, text messaging, and via pager communication.
