The Proof is in the Puddin’ – HouseAds helps Agents

As many of you know, in late 2007 we launched HouseAds, a Google like bidding model for real estate advertising on the mobile phone and HouseFront.com. We weren’t too sure how Real Estate Professionals would take to this new model as most advertising programs required contracts, monthly fees, and minimum ad spends, but we have had a great response from the real estate community.
Mindy BrubakerBefore HouseAds went live, we contacted a few different real estate agents across the country to beta test our advertising system. One of our beta testers was our regular blogger, Chris Brubaker’s mom, Mindy Brubaker. (Go ahead and get those ‘Mom’ jokes out of your system… I know I did.) She was one of the first to try out HouseAds, and when the beta expired, she decided to continue advertising with us.

We are writing on her today because she’s one of our highest converters… Her current click through rate is 22%! For a little comparison, the industry standard is under 1%.
When we asked Mindy about her advertisement, she said this:

…people have been clicking on my ad and that’s great. But what I’ve really noticed is an increased interest by customers. I’ve about doubled my call volume from people looking for more information on properties in my area, I’ll take a call any day over a click, but without the ad I wouldn’t have received the call. Clicks can really turn into something else…

In addition to advertising through her Pay per Click ad, Mindy also advertises via SMS, effectively targeting a younger, first time home buyer market. No one’s ever said too much exposure is a bad thing.
